Persimmon & Sumi - I

Handmade Japanese paper dyed with persimmon juice and sumi from Nao Shi in Tokyo.

I look at the paper and see what letter is suggested to me, if I like the result I seal it with my seal which combines the symbols for play with that for a tea house. The seal was made for me by the father-in-law of Minako Sando during my first trip to Japan in 1998. (Sizes vary and are approximate within 1/4" | 5 mm due to the nature of handmade paper.)
